On the final day of the Annual Meeting, delegates recognize various award winners, debate new business, and say goodbye to outgoing NEA President Reg Weaver.
More than 9,000 state delegates and leaders attended this year's Representative Assembly, and they all had a voice in setting the Association?s agenda for the coming year.
Throughout the third day of the 2008 NEA Representative Assembly, delegates celebrated the nation's birthday, with the Association's traditional Fourth of July commemoration.
The NEA Student Program's "Outreach to Teach" descended on Wakefield High School in Arlington, Va., where more than 350 student members, active teachers, education support professionals, and retired educators banded together to renovate the school.
