Highlights from the 2024 Leadership Summit
Make plans to join us March 7-9 for the 2025 NEA National Leadership Summit, held at the Huntington Place Convention Center in Detroit, Michigan.
The theme of the 2025 Summit is Promote. Protect. Strengthen. Public Education: The Foundation of Our Democracy! The theme serves as a frame for the focus of the design, engagement, and relevance of the training experiences that you can expect at the Summit. The theme is a frame for the design of the Summit and highlights NEA’s strategic priorities and vision to unite members and the nation to build a movement to reclaim public education as a common good, as the foundation of our democracy, and transform it into a racially and socially just and equitable system that prepares every student to succeed in a diverse and interdependent world.

What to expect from Summit sessions?
The Summit breakout sessions are designed to be experiential learning sessions. The sessions are led by members, partners, and staff. Participants can expect to develop a foundational awareness of the NEA Leadership Competency Framework. The framework is a set of interconnected competency domains that describe the knowledge, skills, and behaviors NEA believes are necessary for every educator to achieve their career, professional, and Association goals.
