The National Council of Urban Education Associations (NCUEA) invites you to join us for our 2008 Summer Conference June 26-29 in Washington, DC.  During our Summer Conference, we will consider new business items, positions on NEA amendments and other issues that could come before this year’s Representative Assembly.   

Conveniently located close to Union Station, Chinatown and blocks from the Capitol and the Smithsonian, the Liaison Capitol Hill hotel is perfectly situated for both business and leisure travelers.

Hotel reservations should be made directly with The Liaison Capitol Hill by calling 1-866-233-4642 or reservations@affinia.com respectively. When reserving your room, identify yourself as an attendee of the NCUEA 2008 Summer Conference in order to receive the special conference rate of $175 single or double plus tax.  Hotel check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 12:00 p.m. Self-parking is available.  Rates are displayed at the entrance of the parking garage and are subject to change without notice.  Valet is available upon request at the time of check-in.  If you require special services, please communicate your needs when making your reservations.

TRAVEL/TRANSPORTATION

Please make your flight arrangements using your preferred travel agency.  Airport information is as follows:

  • Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) is about 30 miles from the Liaison Capitol Hill. Shuttles from Baltimore-Washington International Airport cost about $30; cab fare is about $60. Contact Super Shuttle at 1-800-BLUE-VAN. Please note that although you can travel between BWI and Union Station via MARC train and a bus, taking a cab is actually more efficient.
  • Dulles International Airport (IAD) is just about 27 miles from the Liaison Capitol Hill. Shuttles from Dulles International Airport cost about $22 for 1 person, plus $10 for each additional person; cab fare is about $50.
  • Reagan National Airport (DCA) is about five miles from the Liaison Capitol Hill. Shuttles from Reagan National Airport cost $10-$15; cab fare is about $15. It is relatively simple to take Metro from Reagan National to Union Station; however, there is a short walk from Union Station to the hotel.
