Submit items for  RA consideration

The RA Business Site is now open, allowing delegates to submit items for consideration at the 2025 Representative Assembly using online form submission. The deadlines are as follows (all are 4:00pm Pacific Time time unless otherwise noted)

  • New Business Items  -- June 18, 2025
  • Maker Modifications to New Business Items  -- June 30, 2025
  • Amendments to Legislative Program, Resolutions, Policy Statements -- July 3, 2025
  • Amendments to submitted items -- 8:00am on the day the item is to be considered
  • Constitutional Amendments for 2026 -- September 14, 2025 not later than 12:00 midnight Eastern Time
  • Standing Rule Amendments and Bylaw Amendments for 2026 -- March 4, 2026

In accordance with NEA Constitution and Standing Rule requirements for submissions of proposed Bylaw and Standing Rule amendments not later than 120 days prior to the Representative Assembly, submissions of such amendments for the 2025 RA are now closed. The form remains open for submission of Constitutional amendments for the 2026 RA submitted by September 14, 2025, and for submission of Bylaw and Standing Rule Amendments for the 2026 RA submitted by March 6, 2026.

Please review the types of business as outlined below before submitting any item. Items submitted in the wrong category or format will be returned to the maker for re-submission in the correct manner.

The NEA policy hierarchy is ordinal in nature and the supreme policy document of the organization is the NEA Constitution, followed by the Bylaws, and the Standing Rules.
