WASHINGTON—NEA President Becky Pringle issued the following statement in response to the mass shooting that took the lives of at least four people today and injured many more at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia.
"University faculty members not only must have the right to speak up and advocate for themselves, their colleagues and their students, but also must be able to do so without fear of retribution from those who disagree with them or have political motivations."
