Confirm Suzanne Summerlin as General Counsel of the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA)

The Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) Office of General Counsel investigates and prosecutes labor charges on behalf of the more than 1 million federal civil servants in bargaining units.

Among them are 6,000 educators in schools for military-connected students represented by the Federal Education Association (FEA), an NEA affiliate.

Without a confirmed General Counsel, FLRA cannot issue unfair labor practice complaints—a major tenet of labor rights and of FLRA’s mission.
