Do you want to continue the benefits of NEA membership after you retire? Join more than 320,000 retired educators who continue to support public education and use their skills and talents to serve the greater community. Don’t be confused by invitations from other retired teachers organizations. NEA-Retired is the only official national retiree organization of NEA and is dedicated to promoting the interests of NEA members.

Some advantages of being an NEA-Retired member include:

  • Information and events to help you get the most out of your retirement.
  • Engagement and networking opportunities that help you put your knowledge and experience to use in a challenging world.
  • Access to the NEA Member Benefits programs, such as long-term care insurance, dental and vision insurance, retiree health insurance, in-hospital insurance, pet insurance and more. Additionally, you can show your Association unity every day with a credit card that shows the NEA logo. This card allows you to maximize your cash back by choosing how you earn rewards. Choose 3% cash back in one of six categories. Learn more here.
  • Insurance coverage continuation for your NEA Life, AD&D, and Accident & Injury policies. Because your group life insurance policies are provided through the NEA Members Insurance Trust, an active or retired NEA membership is required to continue the group coverage. Learn more here.
  • Subscription to NEA Today for NEA-Retired Members magazine.
