Wear that ‘I Am The Union’ T-shirt to school with pride!
In 2022, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) affirmed that any attempt by employers to restrict the display of union insignia, including on clothes worn in the workplace, is unlawful.
“Wearing union insignia, whether a button or T-shirt, is a critical form of protected communication,” says NLRB Chair Lauren McFerran. “For many decades, employees have used insignia to advocate for their workplace interests—from supporting organizing campaigns to protesting unfair conditions in the workplace—and the law has always protected them.”
So break out your union swag and show your colleagues that you stand
in solidarity with them!
