Under our nation’s system of laws, all of us are equal and deserving of protections. But in Black, Brown, Indigenous, low-income, and LGBTQ+ communities, many individuals are not treated or policed with fairness and respect.
Educators want all students to have an education that inspires their curiosity and desire to learn. That means keeping students and their families safe from police harassment and brutality.
We must end police brutality by enacting reforms that protect the liberties and rights of all people.
